AboutJoe RussellJoe Russell is the creator of the widely read internet blog Joe's Blog of the Week. Coming from the South West of England, Joe eschewed the traditional occupations of cow tipping and incest to set up an online diary of his thoughts each week. He studied far too many subjects at The Woodroffe School in Dorset, where he has just finished his courses. He is hoping to move on to University after his results come out to study English and Philosophy.
Joe's Blog of the WeekSince February 2007, Joe Russell has written a weekly blog addressed to whosoever wishes to read it. It has a number of regular features, including a brief outline on what happened in the week, Joe's Music Track of the Week, Joe's Video Clip of the Week and occasionally a film review or sketch is thrown in for good measure.
JoeFreakinRussell.co.ukThis now defunct website was Joe's first attempt at reaching a wider audience with his writings, and as such was designed to collect pretty much everything he had written that didn't involve school or work. Much of it originated as a supplementary feature to Joe's Blog of the Week, but was separated for the website. A number of other contributors also joined and wrote a number of articles themselves. It was superseded by Onamatopia.co.uk when it was felt that the website should not focus around one contributor more than others.
Onamatopia.co.ukThis replacement for JoeFreakinRussell.co.uk is a veritible goldmine for ill-informed observations on the everyday, the mundane, and the geeky. It features pieces of writing from a number of sources on all manner of subjects, as well as combining the old work that was originally found on JoeFreakinRussell.co.uk.
